Reviews and Ratings
The hotel offers a convenient location for skiing at Whiteface and attractions in Lake Placid. While the rooms were okay and clean, some were dated and not available until late. The service was friendly and efficient, but lacking local activity knowledge. The dining was average, with disorganized options and additional charges, contrasting the great facilities and great staff courtesy.
My stay at the hotel was quite pleasant overall. The rooms were spacious, clean, and modern, with a great bathroom, although unfortunately, the noise from cars kept me up all night. The service was exceptional, always friendly and accommodating, even when our fridge broke. The location was good for outdoor activities like skiing, and the pool area was small but well tended to. However, the dining experience was a bit of a letdown, as the quality didn't match the price paid for the stay.
The hotel is nestled in the mountains, offering a cozy and scenic retreat. The rooms are pet-friendly, clean, and of a good size compared to others in Lake Placid. The service was pleasant overall, but lacked knowledge about local activities. The location, though a bit out of the way, is perfect for outdoor enthusiasts. The dining experience, while cozy by the fire, had limited food choices. The facilities are basic but comfortable, making it a decent value for a skiing trip.
The hotel is not what I expected – rooms were fine but had maintenance issues, like a broken light that took weeks to fix and dust in multiple rooms. I missed having a continental breakfast available. The service was accommodating when we needed extra bedding and had to leave early. The location is a bit outdated and far from attractions despite being friendly. The dining options were limited and overpriced, missing a cozy breakfast setting. Facilities are not remarkable.
The hotel had a bit of rust forming on metal and was basically dirty. My room was by an exit door on the first floor, where the door was banging closed constantly, starting very early in the morning as guests left for their hockey games. The rooms would benefit from a refresh.
I had a pleasant stay at the hotel. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff was extremely polite and helpful. However, the dining experience was mediocre, especially considering the additional cost. The location was convenient, close to attractions, but a bit too close to the lobby/courtyard.
